Visa to Ukraine

Visas depending on the purpose of the trip are divided into types, which are indicated by a letter code (letters of the Latin alphabet in machine-readable zone):

transit visa (indicated with letter B in the machine readable zone – VB);

short-term visa (indicated with letter C in the machine readable zone – VC);

long-term visa (indicated with letter D, in machine – readable zone- VD).

Transit visa is issued to foreigners and stateless persons in case of transit through the territory of Ukraine to a third state, and also implementation of transit transportation of goods and passengers by road.

Transit visa is issued as single, double or multiple for the period specified in the documents constituting the grounds for registration of such visa, but no more than one year, unless otherwise stipulated by international treaties of Ukraine. The period of stay on the territory of Ukraine during each transit through its territory shall not exceed five days.

Short-term visa is issued to foreigners and stateless persons for entry into Ukraine if term of their stay in Ukraine does not exceed 90 days within 180 days.

Short-term visa is issued as single, double and multiple, usually six months or the period specified in the documents constituting the basis for issuing such a visa, but not more than five years. The validity of the visa cannot exceed the validity of the passport subject to the requirements of the second paragraph of subparagraph 1 of paragraph 5 of these Rules.

In the case where the foreign state to issue visas for citizens of Ukraine for a period exceeding five years, the validity of short-term visas for the citizens of this state is determined by the Department of consular service of the MFA taking into account the principle of reciprocity.

Long-term visa is issued to foreigners and stateless persons to enter Ukraine with the purpose of processing documents that give the right to stay or reside in Ukraine for a period exceeding 90 days.

Long-term visa is issued to foreign diplomatic establishment of Ukraine as a multiple of 90 days, unless otherwise provided by law or international treaties of Ukraine.

The period during which a foreigner or a person without citizenship to enter Ukraine and stay on its territory stated in the visa label.

The Immigration Law Office was established in 2007. It provides assistance to foreign clients in Kiev (KV), Odessa (OD), Dnipro (DP), Lviv (LV), Kharkiv (KH), Lugansk (LG) and Donetsk (DN) regions, Crimea (KR) and others regions of Ukraine.
