The acquisition of citizenship of Ukraine due to recognition of paternity or maternity

In the case of recognition of paternity of a child whose mother is a foreigner or a stateless person and the father is recognized as the citizen of Ukraine child regardless of his place of birth and place of permanent travelers acquires the citizenship of Ukraine.

In the case of recognition of the maternity of the child, whose father is a foreigner or a stateless person, and the mother recognized the citizen of Ukraine, child regardless of his place of birth and place of permanent travelers acquires the citizenship of Ukraine.

In case of establishment of paternity of a child whose mother is a foreigner or a person without citizenship, if the child’s father was in citizenship of Ukraine, the child regardless of his place of birth and place of permanent residence acquires citizenship Ukraine.

In the case of establishing the fact of motherhood of a child whose father is a foreigner or a person without citizenship if the child’s mother was the citizenship of Ukraine, the child regardless of his place of birth and place of permanent residence acquires citizenship of Ukraine.

If the recognition of paternity or maternity or establishing of paternity or maternity occurred after reaching child age, such a person who is a stateless person, acquires the citizenship of Ukraine regardless of place of birth and places of permanent residence under the conditions provided for in the first – fourth of this article.

If the recognition of paternity or maternity or establishing of paternity or maternity occurred after reaching a child the age of majority, a person who is a foreigner acquires the citizenship of Ukraine regardless of his place of birth and place permanent residence under the conditions provided for in the first four of this article when it filed a statement of acquisition of the citizenship of Ukraine and the obligation to stop foreign citizenship.

The date of acquisition of the citizenship of Ukraine in cases stipulated by parts one – five of this article, is the date of birth of the child (of a person) or the date of acquisition of Ukrainian citizenship by the father or mother, fatherhood or motherhood which is deemed to be, or for which established the fact of paternity or maternity, if any father or have acquired Ukrainian citizenship after birth (persons).

The date of acquisition of the citizenship of Ukraine in cases stipulated part six of this article, shall be the date of registration of the acquiring person the citizenship of Ukraine.
